218 signatures. We did it! The Major Richard Star Act has reached the threshold of signatures on the discharge petition needed to force a vote in the House. The Speaker must now bring it for a vote after 7 legislative days and I’m very hopeful it will pass the House! This is a major step toward ensuring combat-injured veterans can receive the full retirement and disability benefits they earned. The fight isn’t over. We’ll keep pushing until our veterans get the relief they deserve.
