I know that having the right tools and training in an emergency can save a life. That's why Rep. Bilirakis and I introduced the bipartisan HERO Act (Helping Educators Respond to Overdoses Act), legislation to help schools access opioid overdose reversal drugs and provide training on overdose prevention and emergency response. No school should be unprepared when an emergency strikes. I'll keep fighting to help ensure our schools and communities have the tools they need to save lives.
