I visited the UPS Depot in El Centro to meet with Teamsters Local 542 leadership and the workers who keep our packages moving every day. Working people should never have to choose their paycheck over their safety, especially during extreme heat, and I’m excited to see the improvements that have been installed. I applaud Teamsters Local 542 and UPS workers for advocating for improved working conditions, and I thank UPS leadership for taking the necessary steps to strengthen workplace health and safety. I’ll continue my fight to ensure that every worker has safe conditions on the job.
